Readers Featured: Penguin Readers

Very contemporary! The Penguin Readers are good quick reads for restless teens, especially in ESL/EFL settings. Some of the Non-Fiction titles are good. Highly recommended this time is Leonardo DiCaprio (By Brent Furnas). It has got loads of colourful pictures.

Try getting students to read a brief article about DiCaprio first (Go to resources) then tell them that the reader is available.

A good way to exploit this exposure further would be to introduce the other reader by Penguin, TITANIC! (by Paul Shipton). Of course there are loads of material on the Titanic on the web as well.
